The IUPUI Life-Health Sciences Internship Program is designed to link undergraduate students interested in research with faculty mentors in their area of interest. The program is funded through an Indiana University Commitment to Excellence Grant. In April, students in the program are given the opportunity to present a poster on the work they have done throughout the academic year. Listed below are the students from the program who interned in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, along with the name of their faculty mentor and their poster:
March 5, 2009 —
Kathleen A. Visovatti-Weaver, a nurse and attorney, who teaches doctoral students for the Department of Health Sciences, has received the 2009 Maynard K. Hine Medal. Visovatti-Weaver will join the ranks of NCAA President Myles Brand, former president of Indiana University, and the late IU Chancellor Herman B. Wells in receiving this prestigious award. The award was named after the first chancellor of the IUPUI campus, Maynard K. Hine.
