The School of Health Technology at the Central University of Technology, Free State (CUT) held a cocktail function to celebrate the contributions of Prof Joyce MacKinnon (associate dean of the School of Health And Rehabilitation Sciences, IUPUI, USA) as external consultant to the NRF funded project on implementing an assessment model in the School of Health Technology since 2005. In addition, MacKinnon was also involved in the textbook on postgraduate supervision with the title “An introduction to postgraduate supervision” with Prof. Laetus Lategan as editor.

She was the first Senior Fulbright Scholar to visit the CUT in 2008. She has also assisted postgraduate students with project proposals and motivated undergraduate students to continue postgraduate studies.

IUPUI is Indiana's premier urban research university. The campus enrolls more than 30,000 students in 21 schools and academic units.
