Dietetic Internship Program
Founded in 1918, the Dietetic Internship Program is the second oldest dietetic internship in the United States. The primary goal of our program is to assist students in making the transition to professional.
This carefully crafted program combines both course work and practicum experiences to address knowledge deficits, promote critical thinking and provide opportunities to apply dietetic/nutrition theory to individual patients and management situations. Leadership Education Excellence in Pediatric Nutrition
The Nutrition & Dietetics Department, along with the Department of Pediatrics at the Indiana University School of Medicine, is responsible for the Leadership Education Excellence in Pediatric Nutrition program.
We offer two types of programs. The first type of program is a pediatric fellowship for dietitians/nutritionists; click here for more information. The second is an e-learning Certificate in Leadership Development in Pediatric Nutrition; click here for details.
Master of Science in Nutrition & Dietetics
Master of Science Program in Nutrition & Dietetics currently requires a thesis or a problem, which is a smaller scale inquiry project.
Students who elect to complete a problem will be required to enroll in an additional 3 credits of course work to bring the total number of credits taken to 37. During the thesis/problem process, students focus on a nutrition topic of interest. The N&D faculty will mentor and guide the process of selecting and completing a study.
