The faculty and staff of the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences would like to congratulate the 2008 Class of the Department of Occupational Therapy. Dr. Joyce Mac Kinnon, Interim Dean, is pleased to announce that the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences has received formal approval to offer a PhD in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences.
This 90 credit hour degree program has been designed to develop scholars who, through their leadership and original research, will contribute to the knowledge base in health and rehabilitation sciences. We envision program graduates emerging as leaders in education and research in universities, clinical facilities and industry.

agho IUPUI Chancellor Charles R. Bantz today announced the selection of Dr. Augustine (Austin) Agho as the Dean of the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, pending approval by the IU Board of Trustees. Agho is currently the founding Dean of the School of Health Professions and Studies at the University of Michigan-Flint, a position he has held since 2001. agho Congratulaions to Jess Salyers' accomplishment in receiving Assembly of Student Delegates Scholarship from the American Occupational Therapy Association. Jess is pictured with her two service dogs, Daisy, a golden retriever, and Elle, a greyhound mix.

Congratulations to Lynn Taylor, 2008 recipient of the TK Carl Promise Award. The award is given to a graduating student in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences who has demonstrated academic excellence and professional promise. Lynn with be receiving her Doctor of Physical Therapy in May. Lynn recently used another award to travel to Botswana for a month to help children with disabilities. Congratulations to Ann Kathleen Meyer, recipient of the 2008 Chancellor's Scholar award. Ann is a 2006 magna cum laude graduate of DePauw University, receiving a BA in Economics. She will be graduating with an MS in Occupational Therapy in May from Indiana University, School of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences. Her thesis is focused on auditory processing dysfunction.
